John Cornett, 91, of East Afton passed away May 13, 2025. John was born May 31, 1933, in Spur, Texas to Joe and Myrtie Jones Cornett. He married Dixie Parish on April 11, 1965, and they had over 60 wonderful years together. John was a farmer and rancher and loved riding and raising horses, he also enjoyed riding his Harley, he never met a stranger and enjoyed visiting with everyone. John was a member of the Methodist Church and served his Lord there.

John is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Dixie of East Afton, three sons: Chris Cornett and wife Monica of Spur, Joe Cornett and wife Nancy of San Angelo, Kenneth Cornett and wife Jenny of Spur, eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
