Joe C. Smith, PGA. 65 of Lubbock went to be with his Lord on Saturday March 24, 2018 with his loving family by his side. A celebration of life will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday March 28, 2018 at the Lake Ridge Chapel Memorial Designers. Grave side Service will be 4:00 p.m. at the Ralls Cemetery Chapel under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Joe was born October 20, 1952 to Carmen and J.C. Smith. He graduated from Crosbyton High School and attended West Texas State graduating in 1976. Joe turned golf pro in 1982, and became a class A member of the PGA since March 1986. He was head golf professional of Lorenzo Country Club from 1982- 1994, and Artesia Country Club from 1994- 2012. Joe loved to play golf, run golf tournaments and sell merchandise from his golf shop. He also loved to hunt. Mostly he loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Always ready to help and give advice. He always had a story or joke for anyone.

He is preceded in death by his parents J.C. and Carmen Smith.

He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 34 years Glenda (Smiley) Smith of Lubbock, One son David Smith and wife Matina of Joshua, daughter Amy Tullis and husband David of Ralls, two sisters; Nancy Ogle of Nacona, Mary Fay Morris and husband Larry of Lubbock, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
