Jose "Joe" Cantu, 68, of Ralls passed away December 23, 2021. He was born October 27, 1953 in Ralls to Ascencion and Alexandra DeLeon Cantu.

Joe loved life and enjoyed spending time with his family. He liked to fish and watch the Kansas City and Washington football teams. He was quite the handyman and enjoyed working on tractors and things. Joe worked as a machinist for Lakewood Pipe in Lubbock for several years.

He is survived by two sons, Billy Cantu (Bonnie) and Bobby Cantu both of Lubbock; two sisters, Socorro Hinojosa and Seferina Cook both of Anton; two brothers, Johnny Cantu and Paul Cantu both of Lubbock; two grandchildren, Ashten and Nicole Cantu; and special friends, Jesus Gonzalez, Erik Hernandez, J.D. Hernandez and John Miguel Hernandez.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Christina Casias; and one brother, Ascencion Cantu, Jr.
