Jimmie Ray Wheeless, 81, of Crosbyton passed away on July 8, 2023. He was born September 6, 1941 in Crosbyton, TX to Vernon and Tellie Johnson Wheeless.

He was a graduate of Crosbyton High School, and attended West Texas State University. Jimmie married the love of his life, Rhonda Forbis on September 26, 1964 in Afton, TX. He was a lifetime farmer. He loved working the land and appreciated the beauty of nature.

Jimmie is survived by his wife, Rhonda of Crosbyton; two brothers, Donnie Wheeless and wife Janie of Crosbyton, and Ronnie Wheeless and wife Mary Beth of Miles, TX; Nieces, Trisha Kristinek and husband Jason of Idalou, and Kim Forbis Parker and husband Jimmy of Canyon; nephews, Kevin Wheeless and wife Kelli of San Angelo, Craig Forbis and wife Donna of Lamesa, Russell Forbis and wife Tracey of Toler, and Heath Forbis of Austin; brother-in-law, Robert Forbis and wife Pat of Afton, TX; and one very special friend, Danny Bryand of San Angelo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew, Kasey Wheeless.
