Jesusa Mata, 87, of Lubbock, went to be with the Lord on October 30, 2020. She was born December 26, 1932 in Dilley, TX to Bentura and Petra Martinez Esqueda. She married Martin Mata on June 24, 1950 in Dilley. Jesusa was a housewife and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Martin Mata of Lubbock; one son, Rene Mata of Lubbock; one daughter, Maricela Cisneros and husband Jesus of Lubbock; eight grandchildren, Jessica Basaldua (Robert), Joshua Cisneros (Anita), Marissa Cisneros, Erica Molina (Diego), Abdiel Mata (Valria); and 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 7 PM, Friday, November 6 ^th , 2020 at Ministerios Nueva Vida, 201 N. Boston, Lubbock, TX.

Funeral service will be 10 AM, Saturday at the church, with Rev. Jesus Cisneros, Chris Lopez and Genaro Martinez officiating. Interment will follow at Ralls Cemetery.
