Jesse Jack Griffin III was born August 28, 1947 in Crosby County to J.J. Griffin Jr. and Ruth (Ward) Griffin. He passed away on February 4, 2016. Jack was baptized in 1949 and became a member of the McAdoo United Methodist Church, where he was a lifetime member. Jack graduated from Crosbyton High School and started his adult life as a farmer. He married and later moved to Albuquerque, N.M. There he studied and became a licensed plumber, making this his life's occupation until retiring.
Jack enjoyed Bluegrass and Bluegrass Gospel music. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, and exploring God's creation of nature on his ATV. Jack had a hobby of leather crafting, making many gifts for family and friends.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Rozanna Kinlen and her husband Jim.
He is survived by a son, Craig Jackson Griffin and a grandson, Pete Jacob Griffin of Albuquerque, N.M.; a brother, Howard Lee Griffin and wife Madeliene of Lubbock; and a sister, Sue Stahl and husband Thomas of Lubbock. There are also many cousins, nieces, and nephews left to cherish his memories.
A memorial is scheduled for February 27, 2016 at 2 pm at the McAdoo United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests any memorial gift or donation be made to the McAdoo United Methodist Church or the McAdoo Cemetery Association.
