On September 18, 2021, Jane Hamilton of Gainesville, Florida passed on to the Lord peacefully at age 84 with her family by her side.
Jane is survived by her husband of 64 years, Bud Hamilton.  She is also survived by her two sons Trey Hamilton (Nancy Hamilton) of Austin, Texas and Mark Hamilton (Marilyn Hamilton) of Dallas, Texas. She is also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Jane was born July 18, 1937 to parents Ruby and Joe Heard and grew up in Ralls, Texas.  She graduated from Ralls High School and attended Texas Tech University on scholarship in Lubbock, Texas, where she met the love of her life, Bud Hamilton, while he was stationed at Reese Air Force Base. She married Bud on June 6, 1957 and they moved to Gainesville, Florida, where Jane supported Bud while he attended the University of Florida.
Jane provided love and support to her two sons as a stay-at-home mom when the boys were young. Later she earned her nursing degree and spent her career as a coronary care nurse in the intensive care unit at Health First in Melbourne, Florida. Jane was a caring person who was a friend to everyone she met. She was a member of ∆∆∆ sorority and was very much committed to charitable service with her activities in Space Coast Tri Delta Alumnae Chapter and other charitable organizations.
Jane will be interred in Ralls Cemetery, Texas, where she will rest with her beloved family.  Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 2 ^nd at 11:00 a.m. at Ralls Cemetery chapel.  The family requests that donations be made to the Tri Delta Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship fund in Memory of Jane Hamilton ( https://www.tridelta.org/foundation/ ) in lieu of sending flowers.
