Hector Villarreal was called home into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior on March 17, 2019 at the age of 82.  He was born on August 4, 1936 to Jesus Villarreal and Aurora Magallan Villarreal in Reynosa, Tamaulipas Mexico.  He met Aurora Castaneda in Mexico and they were married on November 17, 1954.

Hector and his family lived in Mission, Texas until 1976; when he became a proud citizen of the city of Ralls.  Hector was a good Catholic and family man and a member of Saint Michael's Catholic Church.  He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his loved ones.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Aurora Castaneda Villarreal, his daughters Maria Hilda Rodriguez, and Candelaria Villarreal of Midland, Norma Linda Maldonado of Lamesa, Maria Anita Villarreal of Roosevelt, his sons Juan Villarreal of Mission, Marco Antonio Villarreal of Odessa, Mario Villarreal of Crosbyton, Jesus Villarreal, and Jorge Armando Villarreal of Ralls; his brothers Cosme Villarreal, Jose I. Villarreal and Ernesto Villarreal of Mission and Guadalupe Villarreal of Mc Allen.  Hector had 35 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son Hector Manuel Villarreal in November of 2018.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Ralls. Burial will follow at the Ralls Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.  A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Ralls.
