Hector Manuel Villarreal Castaneda was called home on November 6, 2018. Hector was born May 8, 1966 to Hector and Aurora Villarreal in Reynosa, Tamaulipas. He was the fourth of ten children. Hector was married to Ofelia Ruiz for the last five years.

In his lifetime, Hector was known for his hard work ethics and the pride he took in finishing a job. He truly was a man of all trades. His hobby of raising roosters was also something he took pride in. In the dullest of moments, Hector always had a way to joke around and liven up the atmosphere. If you ever had a chance to witness his sarcastic humor, then you knew he liked you.

Hector leaves behind a legacy with his family. His four sons; Celestino and wife Isabel Villarreal of Lorenzo, Ruben Villarreal, Luciano Mata, Rodrigo and wife Veronica all of Ralls, his five daughters; Clarissa and Jacob Saucedo of Corpus Christi, Laura and Gardenia Villarreal of Ralls, Analisa and Israel Mendez of Ralls, Marisabel and Josh Jester from Lubbock, five brothers; Juan and Esthela Villarreal from Mission, Marco A. Villarreal of Odessa, Mario and Vicky Villarreal of Crosbyton, Jesus and Rubi Villarreal of Ralls and Jorge and Ruby Villarreal of Ralls, four sisters; Maria H. Izquierdo, Candelaria and Jorge Villarreal both of Midland, Norma and Joe Maldonado of Lamesa, Anita and Richie Escobar of Lubbock, 20 grandchildren and 3 great-grandsons.

Hector is preceded in death by his daughter Amanda Villarreal in November 2017.
