Harrison Newel
Watson
Nov 6, 1962 — Jul 29, 2022
Ralls
On July 29th , 2022, Newel Watson was swept into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was born on November 06, 1962, to Sonny and Shirley Watson. He was the third of four children and adored his sisters.
Newel dedicated his life to the service of the Lord, his family, community, and to his fellow man. For many years he was an active member in the EMS, and was a certified intermediate EMT, and was committed to bettering himself through lifelong learning. He was a Pony League, Little Dribblers, and youth football coach. He loved being with his wife most of all, and adored spending time with his children, sisters, and nieces and nephews. His family meant the world to him. He loved working the land, and raising cattle. He loved animals, especially his pets. He attended every event that he could in his children's and family's lives. He had a gentle spirit and was a humble servant who helped any person in need. Newel loved all forms of entertainment, with an incredibly eclectic taste in everything especially music. Although the people who've been left behind are heartbroken over his sudden loss, we know that he'd want everyone to know he is rejoicing, praising, and singing with Jesus.
Newel was preceded in death by his beloved mother Shirley Dean Watson, father Harrison Newel (Sonny) Watson, his sister Terry Kay Rainwater, and his Father-in-law Joe Kenneth Hargrove.
He is survived and will be remembered by his wife of 35 years L'Rae Watson, son and daughter-in-law Slayden and Emilee Watson, daughter and son-in-law Neeley Watson-Yoshimura and Koji Yoshimura, his sisters and their spouses Shannon and Jon Wilson, Kietha Estes and Jim Parks, his brother-in-law Kevin Rainwater, Mother-in-law Joyce Hargrove, Brother and sister-in-law Shawn and Amy Hargrove, several nieces and nephews, and some very beloved friends.
If he could see our tears now, he would tell us to rejoice because he Is in paradise. We will love him forever, and he will always be in our hearts To know Newel Watson was to love him.
