Guadalupe Vargas Torrez, 88, of Lubbock went to her heavenly home on Sunday, December 4, 2016. She was born July 10, 1928 in Crystal City, Texas to Tito and Cipriana (Amia) Vargas. She married Claudio Zaragosa Torrez in Crystal City on January 26, 1948. They were married for 53 blessed years before Claudio's passing on December 29, 2001. Guadalupe was a homemaker and beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She cherished the time she spent visiting with her family and they will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; her brothers and sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son; Juan Torres of Lubbock; grandson; Nick Torres and wife Neddy of Lubbock; brother; Manual A. Vargas of Crystal City; her sister; Maria Rodriguez of Lubbock; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 11 am Monday, December 12, at Ralls Cemetery Chapel, with burial following in Ralls Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
