Gloria Contreras, 86 of Ralls, TX passed away on January 12, 2026. She was born on May 4th 1939 to Bicente and Juanita Salas in Three Rivers, TX. She married the love of her life José Contreras in 1973 in Sacramento, California. They made Ralls their permanent home in 2000.

Gloria was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and enjoyed attending all the gatherings at the church with the ladies group. She enjoyed going on walks around Ralls in previous years until she was no longer able to. She had many friends in the community and enjoyed the time she was able to spend with them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Justo Salas, Rubén Salas, her sister Jesusa Cuellar, her in laws Epifanio Cuellar, Elida Salas, her nephews Louis Gonzales, Carlos Salas, her nieces Maria Elena Saenz, Becky Gonzales, and Teresa Bales.

She is survived by her husband Jose, brothers Julián Salas and wife Carmen, Bicente Salas and wife Luisa both of Nolanville, TX, Juan Salas and wife Christina of Shallowater, sister Elisa Gonzales and husband Raul of Ralls and sister-in-law Concepcion Salas of Sacramento, California. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Gloria will be missed dearly by all of her family and friends.
