Evangelina DeLeon Samarripas, 73 passed onto her heavenly home on August 24, 2022 in Lubbock, Texas. She was born on November 15, 1948 to Concepcion and Rita Hernandez DeLeon. She married the love of her life Vidal Samarripas on September 15, 1968 in Ralls, Texas.

Evangelina loved her family and enjoyed taking care of and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a caregiver to many and loved it, she also loved cooking and in her spare time playing bingo. She will be dearly missed by all her loved ones.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Vidal Samarripas of Floydada; her two sons, Vidal Samarripas Jr and wife Jackie of Lubbock, and Joe Samarripas and wife Jessica Marie of Lubbock; her daughter, Criselda Samarripas of Floydada; one brother, Juan DeLeon of Ralls; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
