Ernest Joe Atkinson, 59, of White River Lake, died Monday, April 13, 2020.

He was born October 20, 1960 in O'donnell, TX to E.J. and Zina Kimmel Atkinson. He was a U.S. Marine veteran, and worked for TxDOT for many years. Ernest married Cynthia Adcock on November 4, 1988 in Dickens, TX.

Ernest is survived by his wife, Cynthia; one son, Riley Joe Atkinson of West Chester, PA; one daughter, Emily Atkinson of White River Lake; and one sister, Jaye Ann McVay of Pittsburgh, TX. and many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers Ronnie and Johnny Bob Atkinson.
