Eldon L. Nipp, 90, of Merkel, and formerly of Ralls passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2020.

Eldon was born December 23, 1929 in Post, TX to Leslie Foy and Carrie Childers Nipp. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Georgia Mae Melton on July 14, 1955 in Spur, TX. She preceded him in death in 1999. Eldon was a farmer and drove a propane truck for Crosby County Fuel for many years until his retirement. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

He is survived by one son, Larry Nipp and wife Sherrie of Wolfforth, TX; one daughter, Cynthia Taylor and husband Roger of Merkel, TX; five grandchildren, Charlie Dale Nipp, Jessica Nipp Wilkins, Shauna Mae Taylor, Dustin McConnell and Courtney Parchman; three great-grandchildren, Mason, Gibson  and Zane; and one brother, Vernon Nipp.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, four brothers, three sisters, and two grandchildren, Christine and Tristan.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 15, 2020 at Ralls Cemetery with Ed Jones of Wolfforth Church of Christ and Jim Goldsmith officiating.
