Obituary

Ed Watson, 50, of Stanton passed away February 9, 2018. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday February 17, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Ralls. Another service will be held at a later date in Stanton. Visitation will be Friday February 16, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Ralls.

Ed was born August 4, 1967 in Salisbury, Maryland to Gary and Judith Elliott Watson. Ed graduated from Beaumont Westbrook High School in 1985. He also attended Texas Tech University and was a member of the Saddle Tramps. He graduated in December 1990 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics. He married Melode Chance on November 23, 1991 in Ralls.

Ed was a Boy Scout Leader and coached his sons' youth baseball and football teams. He had also served as General Superintendent of the Crosby County Livestock Show. He was a member of the Texas Association of Sports Officials and officiated football, basketball, baseball, and softball games.

Ed was a member of the Ralls First United Methodist Church

He was the Chief Financial Officer at Martin County Hospital in Stanton.

He is survived by his wife Melode Chance Watson of Ralls, two sons; Dakotah Chance Watson of Ralls, and Huntor Cain Watson of Lubbock, parents Gary and Judith Watson of Seaford, DE, two brothers; Greg Watson of Houston and Kyle Watson of Seaford, DE.
