Eddie Lee Mize, 87, of Crosbyton passed away on December 25, 2023. He was born March 21, 1936 in Crosbyton, TX to Eldred Lee and Willie Pearl Layton Mize.

He attended Crosbyton High School through his Junior year and graduated from Kemper Military School his senior year in Booneville Missouri and graduated in 1954, he the n attended Texas Tech College for two years the transferred to Louisiana State University where he received a BA and Masters degree, the attended University of Texas in Austin and received a PhD in international trade. Eddie had a company called Indo- American Imports where he bought hand made goods from the Inca Indians in Peru and Ecuador to import to the United States. Later in life he got involved in buying and selling semi precious gem stone that he acquired in Brazil and sold in the United States. Eddie farmed on and off through-out his life starting at nine years old.

Eddie is survived by; two brothers, Sterling Mize of Crosbyton and Jackie Mize of Lubbock; a dear friend, Arlene Leaf; his nieces and nephews, Kelly Mize and spouse Jamie, Misha Mize and daughter Talitha, Jay Mize, Leslie Davis and spouse Jason and their children Justus, Jenson and Jude. He also leaves behind a numerous amount cousins and friends. Eddie really enjoyed spending time in Mexico, Central and South America.
