Douglas "Mike" King passed away Thursday, October 31, 2019.  Mike was born September 6, 1957, in Corpus Christi, Texas to Nathan Maurice King and Dorothy Mae Knapp.  He married Tammy Smith on February 14, 2004, in Nueces County, Texas. Mike served in the United Sates Navy.  He was a truck driver and loved watching motor racing.  He served his Lord by teaching Sunday school class.  He took pride in keeping a nice yard and enjoyed helping others by fixing things for them.  His favorite place to eat was Bryan's Steakhouse in Lubbock.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his wife Tammy Smith King; daughter, Jessica Nipp Wilkins of Lubbock; son, Charlie Dell Nipp of Doha Qatar; sisters, Diane Lynn White of Kansas City, KA and Cynthia Denise Redman of Corpus Christi.  He also leaves behind one grandchild, Zane Arslan Nipp.

Memorial Services will be held Monday, November 4, 2019, at First Baptist Church in Lorenzo at 11:30 AM.   Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home Ralls, TX.  Online condolences may be made at www.adamsfuneral.com.
