Dorothy Marie Wampler was born July 24, 1925 in Pecan Gap Texas to Wade and Zona Shipp McKeown. She passed away May 13, 2020. Marie was the oldest of seven children, followed by Nina Benroth, Jack McKeown, Charles McKeown, Doris Harris (all deceased) and Survived by Gene and Pat McKeown of Shallowater and Jerry and Susie McKeown of Lubbock. Marie married Troy Wampler March 14, 1941 in Lorenzo Texas; he passed away October 22, 1984. Marie is also preceded in death by one son Monte Wampler.

Marie is survived by two sons; Larry Wampler and wife Cheryl of Lorenzo, Wade Wampler and wife Judy of Canadian, one daughter; Nancy Collier and husband Marvin of Russellville, Arkansas, one daughter-in-law; Vickie Wampler of Amarillo. She also leaves behind thirteen grandchildren; Keith Wampler of Lorenzo, Cathy Sechrist and husband Allen of Amarillo, Dirk and Chancey Collier of Russellville AR., Brad and Niki Collier of Stillwater, OK., Harlow Wampler of Canadian, Megan And Brandon Green of Canadian, Ward and Lana Wampler of Wichita Falls, Wendy Melendez of Dallas, June and Alic Bounsing of Amarillo, Tracy and Aaron Sisson of Roby, Will and Krista Wampler of Lubbock. There is also 25 great – grandchildren; Nathen Sechrist and wife Heather, Lauren Sechrist, Troy and Russ Collier, Ashley, Brittany, Caleb, and Molly Collier, Ethan and Emily Green, Kayla, Kaitlin, and Braden Wampler, Joseph and Kelsia Melendez, Tanner, Landon, Monte, and Toree Bounsing, James, Johnathan, and Abigail Sisson, Jasmine, Preson, and Hunter Wampler.
