Dorothy Marie Martin, 94, of Slaton, and formerly of Lorenzo passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2020.

Marie was born October 13, 1925 in Clyde, TX to Edward and Artie Mae Lee King. She was a graduate of Draughon's Business College in Lubbock.  She married the love of her life Alfred E. "Buddy" Martin on February 14, 1948 in Carlsbad, NM. Buddy preceded her in death.  Marie loved to paint and she also enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing.

Those left to cherish her memory are; her son, Michael Dustin Martin of Lubbock; two grandchildren, Jason Booher and Amanda Booher Wills; three great-grandchildren, Justin Wills, John Wills and Andrew Wills; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter Patricia Ann Martin Booher; and one brother, Rudolph O'Neal King.

Visitation will be from 5-7 PM, Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Adams Funeral Home in Lorenzo.  A graveside service will be held 11 AM, Friday, May 22, 2020 at Resthaven Memorial Park in Lubbock, with Rev. Diane Lee  officiating.
