Donald Clyde Ellison was born on October 8, 1940 to Earnest and Dora Lee Layton Ellison in Crosbyton, Texas. He passed away from this life on November 20, 2020 in Crosbyton, Texas.

Donald Clyde is survived by Peggy Jordan Ellison, his wife of sixty years; his daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Gary Jones, Trixie and Steve Henn; his grandchildren, Miranda and A.J. Bloodworth, Cole and Abbie Jones, Kendra and Mitchell Cates, Chloe Henn, Keenan and Kimie Henn, Eli and Marlee Henn, Isaiah Henn, Kenley Henn; his great-grandchildren, Swayzee Henn, Teagan Bloodworth, Maycee Bloodworth, Cannon Jones, Dylan Bloodworth, Kurt Henn, Caroline Jones, Jaycee Cates. He is also survived by his brothers Zane Ellison and Randal and Jan Ellison.

He farmed in Crosby County for sixty years. He was a long-time member of Crosbyton Church of Christ where he taught Bible class, led singing and served as a deacon and an elder. He loved God, his family and his community.
