Delton Lewis Campbell of Idalou departed this life on September 25, 2017 at the age of 81. Services will be Thursday the 28th of September, 2017, at the Adams Funeral Home in Ralls, Texas at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jerry Stuart officiating. Burial will be in the Ralls cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
Delton was born on August 10, 1936 in Crosby, Texas, to Arthur Lee and Pearl Campbell. In 1956, he married Peggy Bownds of Ralls. They were married 52 years. He graduated from high school in 1954. Delton was a true west Texas man, a farmer, dedicated worker, a father, and a leader. His passions included his family and the Texas Rangers.
Delton is preceded in death by his wife Peggy and his parents. Those left to cherish his memory are their three children, Kelly, and his wife Karla of Ralls, two daughters Shelly Campbell of Dallas and Sherry Dickerson and her husband Lance of Plainview, a brother Arvil Lee Campbell and his wife Fay, of Cone. Delton also leaves behind four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
