Dan W. Goodson February 4, 1927 to June 10, 2018. Born to Leslie Franklin Goodson and Maggie Ellen (Stansell ) Goodson. Raised in the Cone/ Floydada communities. He was the last surviving child of ten children.

He quit school at the age of sixteen, lied about his age to join the Navy. He became a medic in the Navy, completed school and attended Abilene Christian College. He received his teaching degree and began his career as a teacher. He taught in the Childress, Paducah area, moving on to California. He taught for over forty years.

Dan never married; he loved his career, but mostly his students. After retiring he moved to Oregon, then Tuscon, finally coming home to Texas. He leaves to remember him many friends, and loved ones.

Graveside Service will be held June 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Cone Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls. The family suggest memorials be made to Abilene Christian University. Online Condolences can be made at www.adamsfuneral.com
