Consuelo "Connie" (Vasquez) Garcia, 75 of Ralls passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2019 in Lubbock.   A prayer service will be held Thursday, November 7, 2019 at the First Baptist Church of Ralls at 7:00 P.M.   Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, November 8, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Ralls with Rev. Lloyd Zuniga Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow at Ralls Cemetery.

Connie was born August 30, 1944 in Lubbock to Leon Vasquez and Eloise Vargas Vasquez.  She married Santiago Garcia in Cone on August 4, 1963.  She was a loyal pastor's wife, a loving mother and grandmother.   She was the rock and base of the family.  Connie loved serving God and her church.  She enjoyed teaching Sunday school and watching westerns.  She was a jokester and loved making people laugh.

Connie was preceded in death by her loving husband, her parents, her son Matthew Luke Garcia and sister Nora Casillas.

Those left to cherish Connie's memory are her daughter, Sherrie Salinas and husband Jesus H. Salinas of Lubbock; sons, Santiago Garcia Jr. of Ralls, Israel Leon Garcia of Idalou; brothers, Leondro Vasquez of Woodrow, Alfredo Vasquez of Lubbock, Juan Vasquez of Spur, and Leonard Vasquez of Lubbock; sisters, Kay Valdez of Illinois, Sheila Rios of Lubbock, Lupe Romero of Lubbock, Irma Sanchez of Spur, Margie Valerio of Spur, Olivia Islas of Crosbyton and Norma Lara of Snyder.  She also leaves behind 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
