Our Superman, Charlie Larry Daniel, passed from this life on October 13, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 4, 1944 in Crowell, TX to Walter Charlie Daniel and Edith Delilah Dunn. He later moved to Crosbyton, TX and married the love of his life and soul mate, Charlene St. Clair, on October 24, 1964. Together they had 6 kids, and 5 wonderful grandkids, although he was "Poppy" to many. He spent 40 years in Crosbyton, doing what he loved, which was spending time with his family and farming. He retired in 2010 and moved to Stephenville, Texas, where he enjoyed family, fishing and dominoes with his bride.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years; Charlene Daniel of Stephenville, TX; his three sons; Wayne Daniel of Ralls, TX; Scott Daniel of Crosbyton, TX; and Charlie Daniel of Stephenville, TX; as well as three daughters; Trisha Wells and husband Dennis Wells of Levelland, TX; Carolyn Norris and husband Steve Norris of Stephenville, TX; and Nancy Landsdown and husband Kevin Landsdown of Stephenville, TX; his two granddaughters; Breanna Wells of Canyon, TX and Kaitlyn Landsdown of Stephenville, TX; his three grandsons; Josh Wells of Levelland, TX; Cade Landsdown of Stephenville, TX; and Ethan Norris of Stephenville, TX; and his brother Jim Daniel of Ralls TX.
He was preceded in death by parents Walter and Edith Daniel; and two brothers Earl Daniel and Bill Daniel.
Graveside services were held at 3 pm Saturday, October 15, at the Crosbyton Cemetery, with Bruce Harris officiating. Burial was under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
