Charles Wayne Hargrove, of Lubbock, Texas passed away peacefully on Friday, November 26, 2021 with his family by his side. Charles was born on September 5, 1934 in Ralls, Texas to Claude and Pearlie Hargrove. He married Janice Jordan January 8, 1955 in Clovis, New Mexico and were together for 60 years until her passing in 2015. He was a paint contractor by trade but his passion beside his family and God was antique cars. He loved to work in his shop restore and tinker antique cars. He was a soft spoken man with wisdom beyond his years. His family and friends will miss him more than words allow. More than anything else he would want to be known as a man of God. For years he taught Bible classes and served as a deacon at Trinity Church in Lubbock. Whenever and wherever he had the chance he would witness and minister. His greatest witness was the life he lived. We are all blessed to have known a man of such great character. He worked tirelessly for years to provide for his family and was the caregiver for Janice for many years after she had a massive stroke. He raised four successful and Godly children even though he would humbly say he did not have much to do with it.
He is survived by sisters Bonnie Stroud of Austin and Hazel McCall of Midlothian, four children Charles Hargrove, Jr. and wife Renee, Deke Hargrove and wife Carrie, Anson Hargrove and wife Cassandra, Carol Pevey and husband Rick. Eleven grandchildren and Twenty-one great grandchildren
