Carolyn Kay (Lynch) Sessom, 74, of Ralls, passed away Friday, March 20, 2020. She was born in Ralls on November 8, 1945, to Walter and Thelma Lorene Lynch, and she lived in Ralls her entire life. It was in Ralls that she met the love of her life, Darwin Sessom, and they were married there on January 2, 1965. Carolyn was a hairdresser throughout much of her career and in later years, she served as Director of the Ralls Housing Authority. Carolyn was a loving caregiver to many friends and family members over the years, and she will be remembered by those closest to her as a beloved mother and Nana. A fond memory shared by many who knew Carolyn was the pleasure of eating a meal in her home. Her amazing skills in the kitchen were enviable, and there was always room at her table for everyone as she found great joy in cooking for her friends and family. She also enjoyed a good game of Skip-Bo and delighted at beating anyone who was willing to play. There was always the sound of laughter well into the night when the Skip-Bo cards were on the table, and Carolyn's eyes sparkled and her entire face lit up when she laughed- especially when she won, which was quite often.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Amanda Sessom; son, Bryan Sessom and wife, Charlotte; grandchildren Zack Payne, Allison Sessom and Emily Kay Sessom; sister, Betty Mackey Morgan; numerous nieces and nephews; and her dear lifelong friend, Margaret Edwards. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three brothers: Bart, Monroe and Lloyd Lynch; and two sisters: Luradean "Tincy" Patterson White and Linda Dear.
