Carole Sue Knowlton Kelley passed away on 12/11/18.  The only child of Ray E. and Doris (Clayton) Knowlton, Carole was born 11/23/37 in Plainview, Texas.

Carole graduated from Bledsoe High School in 1955 and attended Texas Tech and West Texas State Universities.  During her lifetime she excelled at being a companion, a mother, a grandmother, minister's wife, substitute teacher, secretary for Board of Realtors in Plainview Texas, and a Lubbock apartment complex manager.

She had a passion for playing the piano and loved to dance.  She looked forward to game nights with friends and had a strong devotion to the Dallas Cowboys.  Carole loved the Lord and led so many to know Christ's love.

Carole leaves behind her fiancé Orville Martin, 2 daughters Dianna Dunlap & Billy Nichols of Lubbock, Renee Grimes Stanley & husband Jay of Lakewood Village, 5 beloved grandchildren Jason, Cassie, Ryan, Justin & Jessica, 3 great-grandchildren, and many step-children that she loved as her own.  Her extended family includes her many friends and church family members which she loved dearly.

Carole is preceded in death by her parents and her son Richard Dwayne Grimes.

Visitation will be Friday December 14 ^th between the hours of 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the First Baptist Church, 2001 Main Street, Petersburg, Texas.  Service will be Saturday December 15 ^th at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Petersburg with burial following at the Lorenzo Cemetery.   Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the South Plains Food Bank or Meals on Wheels.
