Carlos Zuniga, 69 of Lorenzo passed away September 1, 2021. He was born September 29, 1951 in Refugio Texas to Demetrio and Transita Salinas Zuniga. He married Connie Minor on November 22, 1972. Carlos was passionate about farming. He would start each day having breakfast with his beautiful wife.  At the beginning of the work day he would gather at the Gin Office and catch up with his farming buddies. He would end his day sitting in his backyard with his beautiful wife and their two spunky dachshunds, enjoying the end of the day talking about their lives.  His passion also extended to his yard so it was always well manicured. When Carlos wasn't farming he loved spending time with his loving family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and one son Damian Zuniga.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife; two sons, Carlos Demetrio Zuniga and Edward Rene Zuniga; two daughters, Zenaida Morales and husband Christian, and Christie Ubando and husband Chris; eight brothers, Mario, Luis, Juan, Arturo, Oscar, Victor, Margarito, and Edward Rene Zuniga; six sisters, Elida Cisneros, Aurora Ramirez, Mary Jane Zuniga, Maria Ernestina Sandoval, Lupe Anderson, and Irene Zamora; fourteen grandchildren, Ariana, Kirstie, Iza, Evelyn, Juan, Gabriel, Darren, Ava, Joseph, Dominique, Alissa, Gavin, Hope, Elijah, and Zachary. He also leaves two Great- Grandchildren CJ and Jade.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday September 6, 2021 at the San Lorenzo Catholic Church in Lorenzo, burial will follow at the Lorenzo Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo. A rosary will be held 7:00 p.m. Sunday September 5, 2021 at the same church. Visitation will be from 1:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday at Adams Funeral Home in Lorenzo.
