Carlos "Gee" Chavez, 54, of Lorenzo, passed away on Saturday, April 25th, 2026. He was born in Ralls, on February 18th, 1972, to his parents, Clemente Chavez and Maria Isabel.

Carlos was truly a jack of all trades. When he wasn't working at the gin, he was supporting his favorite team. He was a die-hard cowboy's fan (DC4L!), tough as nails, and a man of few words. He was quietly sentimental, kind, loving, and a very hard worker.

He is proceeded in death by his parents; Clemente Chavez and Maria Isabel, wife; Yrmalinda Chavez, sister; Josie Chavez, and nephew; Christopher Arreguin.

He is survived by his wife, Norma Linda Hinojosa, his sons; Juan Carlos "Nano" Chavez and wife Alexandra of Lubbock, Andrew Chavez and wife Jasmine of Petersburg, his daughters; Maria, Cassandra, Priscilla, Melissa, Anabell, and Elizabeth Chavez, his brothers; Juan Chavez of Roma, Fidencio Chavez of Idalou, Steven Chavez of Amarillo, and Jamie Chavez of Lorenzo, his sisters; Mary Chavez of Lorenzo, Esmerelda Alcala of Lorenzo, and Isabel Villarreal of Lorenzo, and his 27 loved grandchildren.
