Brigida Canales 88 of Ralls passed way Sunday September 9, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Ralls Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday at the San Jose Catholic Church in Crosbyton. A viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the Adams Funeral Home in Crosbyton.

Brigida was born January 25, 1930 in Smithville Texas to Daniel and Teresa Rodriguez. She was a hard worker who enjoyed gardening and growing flowers. She was a big Dallas Cowboy Fan and enjoyed solving puzzles and sewing.

Brigida is preceded in death by her husband Disidoro Canales Sr., a son Disidoro Canales Jr. and a daughter Mary Garcia.

Brigida leaves behind two daughters; Dominga Guzman and husband Victor of Crosbyton, Maria Palacios and husband Ralph of Crosbyton. Five sons; Jerry Canales and wife Virginia of Houston, Antonio Canales and wife Carmen of Plainview, Martin Canales and wife Adelita of Frisco, Adam Canales of Lubbock, and Joe Eric Canales and wife Rosa of Ralls. Four sisters; Fransisca Salas of Lubbock, Ramona Salas of Crosbyton, Guadalupe Rivera of Graham, and Sara Vigil of San Antonio.
