Obituary

Boyce Ardell Bryan, 92, a longtime resident of Plainview and former resident of Ralls, passed away on February 10, 2026. He was born on August 14, 1933, in the Owens Community of Crosby County to E.G. and Nellie James Bryan.

Boyce graduated from Ralls High School and went on to earn both his bachelor's and master's degrees in Agriculture from Texas Tech University. His education was briefly interrupted by his service in the United States Army during the Korean War. On August 22, 1953, he married June Morton in Ranger, Texas. They later welcomed two daughters, Leigh Ann and Susan.

Boyce led a full and interesting life. He began his career with the Texas Soil Conservation Service before transitioning into full-time farming. After moving to Plainview, he became a real estate broker and eventually opened Boyce Bryan Realty. Later, he returned to his first love—agriculture—bringing his life's work full circle.

Deeply civic-minded, Boyce served as past president of the Plainview Lions Club and the Golden Gloves organization and was an avid supporter of the Plainview Salvation Army. He was also an active member of First United Methodist Church in Plainview. In recent years, he was honored to be selected to participate in a Veteran's Honor Flight to Washington, D.C.

Boyce was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers and sisters; and his wife of 61 years, June. He is survived by his daughter Leigh Crane of Lubbock and her husband, Tim; daughter Susan Binford of Toronto, Canada, and her husband, Joe; three granddaughters, Brittany Karnezis, Jenny Binford, and Josilyn Hughes; three great-granddaughters; and one great-grandson on the way.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Salvation Army, 615 Ash St. Plainview, Texas 79072, (806) 296-5700
