Bourley Gray 81 of Lubbock passed away April 25, 2024. Bourley was born February 8, 1943, in Atoka Oklahoma, to R.C. and Edith Rutledge Gray. He married the love of his life,Rita Ellison, on May 23, 1964, in Ralls, Texas. He was raised in Ralls and graduated from Ralls High School in 1961. Shortly after marriage, Bourley and Rita lived in Lubbock before moving to Ft Worth where he was employed by General Dynamics. In 1969, they returned to Ralls where he farmed for several years and was an active member of Emma Church of Christ. After he retired from farming, he and Rita moved to Lubbock and started Family Home Health which they owned and operated until his retirement. They attended Sunset Church of Christ in Lubbock. Bourley loved to travel, especially to the Mountains where he enjoyed skiing. He loved western movies and owned a large collection of John Wayne movies. One of the greatest joys in his life were his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bourley will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Bourley is preceded in death by his parents and brother Gerald Gray, sister in law Anne Smith Gray, sister Lenora Thompson, and sister Debbie Day.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Rita of Lubbock, one daughter Shauna Young and husband Doug of Lubbock, two sons, Brad Gray of Amarillo, Ryan Gray, and wife Amanda of Phoenix AZ., one brother Dwight Gray and wife Gail of Dalhart, one sister Zuella Kemp and husband Mack of Lubbock, four grandchildren, Grayson Young and wife Kendra of Ft Worth, Graham Young and wife Macy of El Paso, Griffin Young of Lubbock and Jaxson Gray of Phoenix, two great-grandchildren, Kason Young and Kampbell Young of Ft Worth, and numerous nieces and nephews.
