Emily Elizabeth "Beth" Brasfield Rankin, age 88, of Ralls, TX lost her battle with Alzheimer's disease surrounded by her children on September 14, 2020.

Beth was born to Jesse and Audie Brasfield in Slaton, Texas on November 23, 1931.  Beth graduated from Slaton High School and then graduated with her teaching degree from Hardin Simmons University in Abilene.  Beth married Joe Rankin on August 16, 1954 in Lubbock Texas.   Beth is survived by her sister Mary Wallace of Houston; her daughter, Robin Flores and husband Nupy of Kopperl; her son James Rankin of Kopperl; her grandchildren, Alix, Kym, Kortney, Kaci Jo, and Blayne; and her great grandchildren Makenzi, Maci, Kinsley, and Kason; nieces Vanessa Wallace Thornton, and Jennifer Rankin Graves; nephews, John and Stephen Rankin.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Rankin and her son, Joe David Rankin II.

Throughout her life, Beth was a teacher and housewife.  She loved teaching art and was a very good artist herself.  She also had a very good eye for design and created her own jewelry and other crafts.  Beth also led groups in the Boy Scouts and Farmers Union Work and Play Day.

For the last 5 years of her life, Beth battled Alzheimer's disease.  We are so grateful to Community Healthcare of Texas in Whitney who helped us in caring for her. Thank you to Presley, Michelle, Gail, Crystal, and all the nurses who were there for mom.

Mom, now you can remember the way home.  We love you and will see you again one day.

Visitation will be 6-8 PM, Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Adams Funeral Home In Ralls.

Graveside service will be 10 AM, Friday, September 18, 2020 at Ralls Cemetery with Rev. Adam Harris officiating.
