Barbara Jane (Jones) Edwards, 73, of Lubbock, passed away July 24, 2022. She was born February 21, 1949, in Carlsbad, NM to Robert Jones, Jr. & Billie (Folsom) Jones. She graduated from Ralls High School in Texas. Barbara served her Lord and Savior in all aspects of her life. She was a faithful member of Wilshire Baptist Church in Midland, TX and Broadview Baptist Church in Lubbock, TX. She was a shining example of allowing Jesus to flow through her smile, words of kindness, her crocheted gifts to others and her famous "banana pudding".

Motherhood was Barbara's greatest achievement and raising her son was the Joy of her life! She achieved her goal to be the best Mom ever and was always there cheering for her son at all his church functions, Special Olympics and Lubbock Saddle Club events. Barbara worked as a teacher at The Village School in Midland, TX for numerous years where she took pride in having her class ready to take on Kindergarten the following year. What a blessing she was to help shape the lives of the children that attended there.

Barbara is survived by her husband, David, of 54 years and their son Jimmy of the home in Lubbock, TX. She is also survived by her brothers: Bobby Jones (Jane) of Aloha, OR and James Jones (Janice) of Lubbock, TX, as well as her beloved nieces/nephews & great nieces/nephews plus a host of other relatives and friends.

A celebration of Barbara's life will be at 10:00 am, Saturday July 30, 2022, at Broadview Baptist Church, 1302 N Frankford Avenue, Lubbock, TX 79416 with Rev. David Rhoades officiating.
