Barbara Collier 96 of Lubbock passed away April 14, 2025. She was born July 22, 1928, in Alpine, Texas to Jimmie and Jewell Hill Yates. She had great stories about her youth in Alpine. After graduating Lubbock High School, she attended Texas Tech. She raised her family with her husband, Gerald Collier, in Ralls, Texas. Barbara loved reading, refinishing furniture and was an excellent cook, but her passion was serving her Lord and Savior. She was active in the Lubbock Jail Ministry, and didn't hesitate to tell others about her love for Jesus.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, son Bill Collier and three sisters, Ivy Land, Dorothy Portwood and Rita Carolyn Yates

Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters; Connie Lindsay (Harry) of Littleton Colorado, and Carol Henderson (Steve) of Lubbock, six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren and many dear friends.  She had a unique way of communicating and story telling that was loved by all. She was texting to friends and family well into her 90's.  She will be truly missed.  A private burial will be planned for a later date.
