Obituary

Arsenio Escobar Sr., 72, of Lubbock entered Heaven's Gates on April 12, 2021. He was born on January 28, 1949 in Roma, Texas to Alonzo and Amelia Sosa Escobar. He married the love of his life Rosa Obregon on April 19, 1969 in Ennis, Texas.

Arsenio was a family man and loved spending time and making memories with them. His biggest passion was his grandchildren; he called them his "medication".  He was their biggest supporter in everything they participated in. When not attending or rooting for his grandchildren he liked to go fishing,  loved gambling and scratching lottery tickets, and really enjoyed eating out at different restaurants. Arsenio was a member of the St. Joseph's Church in Slaton.  He will be dearly missed by all his friends and loved ones.

He is preceded in death by his parents and five brothers; Ambrosio, Armando, Alonzo Jr., Amador and Pedro Sr. Escobar.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Rosa; his three sons, Arsenio Jr and his wife Stephanie of Lubbock, Ralph and his wife Mary Jane of Crosbyton, Richie and his wife Anita of Lubbock; his brothers, Albert Escobar and wife Marcy of Ennis, TX, Alfred Escobar of San Antonio, Angel Escobar and wife Ramona of San Antonio, TX; his sister, Gloria Villarreal of Waxahachie; six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 16 at 10am at the St. Joseph's Church in Slaton, Texas and a graveside service will follow at 12pm in the Ralls Cemetery. A rosary will be on Thursday, April 15 at 6pm at the Adams Funeral Home in Ralls, Texas.
