Antonio (Gordo) Mendoza 48 of Lorenzo, Texas passed away May 6; 2023.Gordo was born March 5, 1975 in Slaton Texas, to Tony and Susie Solis Mendoza. He married Stacey Mendoza February 6, 2006; he loved all sports and was a big Dallas Cowboy and Texas Ranger fan, he especially loved supporting his son Alex in everything he did. Gordo loved his family and was always there willing to help; he will be sorely missed by all.

Gordo is preceded in death by his mother, and his wife.

Those left to cherish his memory are; his son Alejandro Mendoza of Lorenzo, his father Tony Mendoza of Lorenzo, two sisters, Rosa Mendoza and husband Clarence of Lorenzo, Anna Miller and husband Darnell of Lubbock; his special siblings, Albert and wife Dakota, Irma, and Pablo Mendoza; his nieces and nephews, Rebecca Mendoza, Angelo Miller, and Dominique Jackson.

Funeral Mass will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday May 12, 2023 at the San Lorenzo Catholic Church, burial will follow in the Lorenzo Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo. A rosary service will be held 6:00 p.m. Thursday May 11, 2023 at the same church.
