Antonio Castro, 64, of Ralls, Texas, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on February 6, 1962, in Crosbyton, Texas, Antonio was the beloved son of Inocente and Margarita Huerta Castro.
Antonio was a hardworking man who dedicated much of his life to providing for his family. He worked as a cotton ginner in both Texas and Virginia before continuing his career as a farmer for James Caddell Farms. Known for his strong work ethic, Antonio took pride in every job he did and never hesitated to lend a helping hand to those around him.
While Antonio worked hard, his greatest joy in life was his family. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and loved ones, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Whether he was sharing stories, making people laugh, or simply enjoying time together, Antonio had a way of making everyone feel welcome and loved. His kind heart, generous spirit, and unwavering love for his family will be remembered by all who knew him.
Antonio also enjoyed playing bingo, a pastime that brought him both excitement and friendship over the years. He could often be found surrounded by family and friends, sharing smiles, laughter, and good times. His presence lit up a room, and his ability to bring joy to others was one of his greatest gifts.
Those who knew Antonio will remember him as a devoted son, loving father, proud grandfather, caring brother, and loyal friend. He loved deeply and unconditionally, always putting the needs of others before his own. His legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched and the family he loved so fiercely.
Antonio is survived by his loving mother, Margarita Castro of Ralls; his three sons, Antonio Castro, Jr. (Anessa) of Lubbock, Michael Castro (Robin) of Victoria, Texas, and Dawson Castro of Emporia, Virginia; and his four daughters, Veronica Castro of Lubbock, Amanda Castro of Victoria, Texas, Jordain Martinez (Justin) of Ralls, and Skilear Castro (Marco Lopez) of Emporia, Virginia.
He is also survived by his two brothers, Inocente Castro, Jr. (Christy) of Ralls and Joe Castro (Carla) of Ralls; his five sisters, Margaret Sanchez of Vernon, Texas, Maria Barron of Ralls, Juanita Morales (Ricky) of Ralls, Angie Rogers of Ralls, and Irene Gutierrez (Joe) of Lubbock; 17 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild on the way, all of whom brought him immense pride and happiness.
Antonio was preceded in death by his father, Inocente Castro, Sr.; his brothers, Angel Castro and Arturo Castro; his sister, Guadalupe Castro; and his beloved granddaughter, Azaily Martinez.
Though our hearts are broken by his passing, we take comfort in knowing that Antonio's love, strength, laughter, and countless memories will remain with us forever.
