Services for Vera Alice Findley, 100, of Sarasota, Florida and formerly of Ralls, will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 4, 2010 at the Emma Church of Christ with Tim Mills officiating. Burial will follow in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.
Mrs. Findley passed away Thursday, February 25, 2010 in Florida. She was born May 4, 1909 in Stephenville, Texas to the late Thomas Douglas and Jessie James (Young) Stevens. She married Toy Dowe Findley November 23, 1928 in Paducah. He preceded her in death Dec. 24, 1975. A homemaker, she was a member of the Emma Church of Christ, the Ladies Bible Class and the Ralls Senior Citizens. She moved to the Ralls area in 1935 from Paducah and to Florida about 10 years ago.
She is preceded in death by three brothers; D. K. Stevens, Billy Stevens and Prentice Stevens and six sisters; Jewel Stevens, Tonnie Ellison Woodruff, Gad Chote, Lorene Crain, Faye Moore and Vuyneta Jones.
She is survived by one daughter and her husband; Neva & Bob Keesecker of Sarasota, Florida, three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
