Jose Calderon, 86, of Ralls passed away at his residence Tuesday, January 26, 2010, with his family by his side.
Rosary will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 7:00 PM at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Ralls with funeral Mass Friday, January 29, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Father Ernesto Lopez officiating.
He was born May 21, 1923 in Nixon, Texas to Jesus Calderon and Andrea Hernandez. He married Guadalupe Arrambidez on March 29, 1943. She preceded him in death on November 14, 2003. He was a farmer for many years and a ginner. He was one of the first members that helped build St. Michael's Church and was a Cursillista.
Survivors include; three sons, Jesse, Eddie (Candy) all of Ralls, Robert (Linda) of Ft. Worth; five daughters, Josie Velasquez (Frank), Janie Rivera (Gilbert), Minnie Rivera (Albert), Gloria Mendolla (Mike) all of Ralls, Sally Calderon and Elsie Colon both of Lubbock; a sister, Maria Mingia of Lewisville; 22 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be, Justin Calderon, Justin Colon, Juan Carlos Colon, JOe John Calderon, Michael Lopez and Mark Lopez. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Diaz, Ryan Lopez and Tobie Calderon.
